MCC's reworked production of the notorious musical Carrie, based on the Stephen King novel of the same name, began previews this week at off-Broadway’s Lucille Lortel Theatre. As King's first book to be published, Carrie kick-started the author's prolific career, which includes bestsellers The Shining, Misery, Pet Sematary, It and many more. Carrie may be the only of King's works to be adapated into a stage musical, but the horror master is currently prepping the long-awaited debut of his own musical, Ghost Brothers of Darkland County, with John Mellencamp. Although Carrie has had a sordid history (being widely considered one of the most infamous flops in Broadway history), we couldn’t help but speculate how other King novels would translate as stage musicals. Now we want to know: Which Stephen King novel would you like to see on stage? Vote below!
